In 1927, in a small factory in Rhode Island (USA), brothers Michael and Jay
Chernow began to produce gilded monograms for car owners. The company
was called Monocraft. Monograms were distinguished by their unusual design
and quickly became popular.
In 1937, the Monet company began to produce
jewellery - brooches, necklaces, rings, bracelets and clip-on earrings, which
captivated many. Monet jewellery has been and remains one of the favorites among women.
From the very beginning, Monet has produced jewellery primarily from precious
metals. Many manufacturers began to copy the design of Monet jewellery,
reproducing it in inexpensive materials, thereby not only creating competition
for the brand, but also the demand for the brand's unique design in a more
